Nest thermostat displays low battery message

The display alert for low batteries on the Nest Thermometer turns on every 4-5 weeks even though the batteries are new. How do I avoid getting this message?

Hello soccer66,

I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused you — let's see what's going on and why your Nest Thermostat is draining its battery.

To isolate: could you please share us a photo of your thermostat wiring with us? Are you getting any message codes or wiring reports? Also, please check the power readouts on your thermostat settings.

  • For the Nest Thermostat 2020, go to Equipment settings and power info. For the Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E, go to "Technical Info."

I'll look forward to your response.

Thanks,
 Mark
