I have a nest thermostat with a version 3.4. Is this a 3rd generation device? Reports of discontinued support refer to generations while the device itself refers to a model number. Now I've been around computers for long enough to know that you don't assume that a device major version and generation are necessarily the same. Can someone confirm the generation of my device and add a statement to the help pages to explain how device models and generations are linked.
