Nest thermostat installed, furnace doest respond as it should?

Hi,

Just installed my Nest Thermostat. It's all wired up correctly, detects my R, W and C wire fine, powers on fine, and app is fine, but my furnace is not responding as it should to the setting on the thermostat. Currently have the temperature set to a low 13degC but the furnace is still on and temperature is now 22degC and rising. Even if I turn the heating off it's still going.  I have a new gas furnace which worked fine with the old thermostat, gas fuel and forced air circulation.

Why won't it follow the schedule and turn off?!

I'll assume you went through the setup and told Nest about your setup. If not do it. If your system only has 3 wires, all the Nest is doing is shorting R to W. First I would go into the mode and select off and see if it stops. If not turn off the system from the breaker, pull the thernostat and make sure no wires are shorted, or can touch the back of the thermostat.
