Nest thermostat tab

My Nest thermostat doesn't stay mounted to the base beause  there is one broken tab and  I need a replacement for  the back. Do you have a solution? If not. You should. These are not cheap.

I'm very new and I don't have one of the thermostat, but  Are you talking about a wall mount or what?

I hobby work on 3d Printers, and there a several dozen options that can be Printed.   If you know someone that has a 3d printer.  Looking at them, it wouldn't take mush to print one.

Yes. I'm referring to the wall mount.

I'm sorry to hear that your base has a broken tab! I know I would be pretty annoyed if I was in your situation, so I'd be happy to help out. The first thing I would do is check to see if you're still covered by Google's limited warranty. That way, you can get into contact with Nest Support and look at getting it replaced.

I have contacted Nest Support before I posted here. Apparently,  I'm past the warranty time frame therefore they couldn't help replace it. Basically,  I was told I needed to buy a new one. Reluctant to do so considering that this one didn't last as long as it should for the price. Less than 5 years. A broken tab appears to be a common issue based on my research and I consider it a design flaw. Hopefully,  a better mounting solution will be developed in the future.  If not, I'll replace it with a different smart thermostat.
