Hi Willp,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. To isolate the issue, I suggest checking the Nest Energy History to see the reason why it goes off. You can click on this link to learn more about this.

Thanks,

Edward

Hello folks,

I'm sorry for the late reply. I know it has been a while but I wanted to ensure everything was covered here.

@Willp, to upload a photo, you can tap the camera or photo icon to attach pictures. Also, what type of Nest Thermostat is this?

Thanks for the help, Edward.

Regards,

Mark

Hey there,

Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear that it stopped turning off the heat randomly. Are you enrolled in an energy-saving program such as Rush Hour? The Nest Thermostat will automatically tune temperatures before and during rush hour to reduce energy use and lower grid costs. This might be the reason why it randomly adjusts your thermostat. Also, try to disable the Home and Away Assist on your actual thermostat settings if there is. This would also avoid your thermostat switch to Eco mode.

Feel free to let us know if you have more questions in mind.

Regards,

Mark

Hey Willp,

Thanks for letting us know about that. A few questions: did you encounter some power outage before? Do you hear any strange noises such as chatters, stutters, clicks, or thumps? Did your thermostat screen show a "Delayed" or "Starts in" message? When was the last time a technician checked your system? It might need professional maintenance.

Jenelyn
