Nest thermostat

My nest thermostat does not seem to respond to tapping on its face

it works fine through the iPhone app

Any suggestions

Hi there,

 

Thanks for reaching out — I'd love to help. If your Nest Thermostat doesn't show any screen, try to press it for at least 10 seconds to restart. If nothing happens, your thermostat might have a battery issue that can be resolved by charging it with a micro USB cable or changing a battery depending on what thermostat you have.

 

If your thermostat is awake and it's showing a screen and you just can't control it, you can check the guide below:

 

For the Nest Thermostat 2020:

  1. Tap the touch bar to bring up the menu.
  2. Swipe up or down to select an option.
  3. Tap the touch bar again to confirm your selection.

For Nest Thermostat E:

  1. Press your thermostat ring towards the wall to see more options.
  2. Turn the ring to select an option.
  3. Press the ring again to confirm your selection.
