I installed a new Nest Thermostat. After pulling the plastic tab I got a low battery warning on the Nest. I replaced the batteries and now I still can’t complete the setup. The Nest says, “Continue setup in the Google Home app”. In the Google Home app I add the device by type (Nest non-learning Thermostat), scan the QR code, answer some questions about wires and dual fuel (it’s only electric). Then right after I select the language for setup it says I have to replace the batteries. I’ve tried two different sets of new batteries.

Well, switching back to the first set of new batteries seems to have solved it. I don’t see how to mark this resolved, but I no longer need assistance.
