I have a brand new HVAC system for electric forced air and AC. I replaced a Honeywell with the Nest (the on/off clicking noises were driving me crazy!). It was an easy swap. However I immediately noticed a difference in the force of the fan. It's not as loud (not blowing as hard) and when the system turns off, the fan slowly turns off and makes an audible humming noise, and it's not the register vent. With the Honeywell the fan immediately turned off/on with the system and more powerful. I restarted and also reset the system with no changes. Faulty thermostat? It is what it is?

Hi. I am in North America. I have the 3rd generation learning nest. My system is a carrier, international comfort product electric forced air HVAC. Below are pics of the power settings and my wiring. Thanks!

Hello mediehl,
Thanks for the update. Let’s also try to remove the C wire and check if the issue persists. If it does, we might need to check the wires via a voltmeter.
For safety reasons, turn off the HVAC system's power at the fuse box or system switch.
Remove the display of the Nest thermostat, unplug the C wire, and unplug the RH wire.
If you’re not getting any voltage readings, we recommend that you contact our Nest Pro technician by going on their website, OnTech, or contact a local HVAC technician to look into your common wire.
I hope this will help, but if you encounter any problems doing this or if the issue persists, please let us know.
Thanks,
Renz.
