No Display on thermostat

AKling

I have a 3rd generation-learning thermostat that worked fine until my grandson took it off the wall. When I plugged it back in, there was a red light and no display. I tried resetting it, charging it, and trying another one (which worked fine). I cannot check the settings because there is no display showing regardless of the steps taken. I am at a loss and do not want to pay someone to come fix it if I can. What could be up with it and why is the display not working anymore?

Hi AKling,

Uh-oh! I'm sorry to hear that your thermostat is not showing display after trying to troubleshoot it. A few questions:

  1. Are you located in North America or Europe?
  2. Is the thermostat newly installed?
  3. If the thermostat was recently installed: What is the make and model of your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment?
  4. Are the power breakers on, and do you receive power to your home?
  5. Is the thermostat's display seated properly?
  6. Are all the wires of your thermostat seated firmly in its terminals (with no loose or exposed wires)?
  7. Did you charged the thermostat display using a micro-USB cable?
  8. Did you plugged in the thermostat to a working power outlet?
  9. For how long did you charged the thermostat display?

I'll look forward to your response.

Best,

Zoe
