Not Free Power Connectors for Nest Thermostats???

I bought 4 thermostats for the 4 different zones in my house.  After a few failed attempts at installing them on a couple of them I did see the link in the start-up instructions for a free power connector kit.  I ordered one.  I removed and re-installed the second thermostat and when I got to the link for a free connector it wanted to charge me $24.95 and shipping.  

Is this really true?

2 Weeks and I haven't heard anything.  Turns out the instructions to install the Power connector does not match the heating system that I have.  If I have to pay another $75 for the connectors and then somewhere around $200 more to get 4 of them installed, I'm just going to get rid of this piece of crap and go back to my simpler programable thermostats.
