just installed a Nest thermostat but it won’t turn the fan on when it calls for heat. Everything else seems ok and it will turn on the furnace, but no fan. I put the old thermostat back in place and the fan runs fine so I know it‘s not the heating system. I was very careful to note the way the wires were connected to the old thermostat and they’re connected the same on the Nest. I tried resetting the fan wire (G) and also reset all the wires, still no fan. I rechecked the connections at the air handler.
I have an oil furnace and 2 separate heating zones in my house. Each zone has its own thermostat and I’m currently focusing on just one. I replaced the down stairs zone with a NEST and it works fine. They are compatible with my system. Any suggestions

Do you have a C common wire connected at the Nest?
What type system did you tell Nest you had during the setup?
It must think you have a system with no fan needed during heating and is not sending 24v output on the G wire.
Try setting it up again and make sure the nest detects the G wire is connected.
If fan is still is not running go to the heater and test for 24v AC at the G wire with a meter put meter probes on G and Common while heat is on to see if Nest is providing the 24v output on G.

Multi-zone systems can be tricky, and all are not compatible with the Nest Thermostats.
Can you post pictures of each thermostat's wirings and the make and model of the zone controller that you have?
