I received a email notice that my 1 Gen & Gen 2 Nest thermostat will lose remote and app functionality unless I upgrade to a new model. While Google has offered a $80 discount, compared to Best Buy Web price, now I’m forced to replace my 2 Nest Thermostats (1 upstairs/ 1 Downstairs) they are forcing people to replace them, my cost $439.98 or just one at 219.99, or purchase best buys @299.99. Perhaps it’s time to Purchase a different Brand of smart thermostat where they don’t discontinue/ cut off remote/ app functions.
