My nest just completed the seasonal savings exercise and updated my schedule. When i check my schedule it seems like it's being wasteful by scheduling closely time & temp heat activities. Example:
5am- heat to 70
7am - heat to 69
8pm - heat to 70
9pm - heat to 67
Is that a typical result? Shouldn't the 5am and 8pm actions be set to 69 & 67 respectively vs. 2 activities? Is this the result of some user change during the seasonal savings process? Thanks for advance for feedback and support.

Hi Mwilke,
Uh-oh! The behavior you described with your Nest Thermostat's schedule after completing the Seasonal Savings exercise is not typical. The scheduling of closely spaced time and temperature-heating activities you mentioned may not optimize energy efficiency or comfort. However, it's important to note that the exact behavior of the Seasonal Savings exercise can vary depending on factors such as your location, climate, and previous thermostat settings.
Access the schedule settings on your Nest Termostat or through the Nest app, and manually adjust the time and temperature settings to align with your preferences. You can set the desired temperatures for specific time periods, ensuring they are not too close together. If you find that the Seasonal Savings feature is not providing the desired results, you can disable it. To stop using Seasonal Savings, open the Nest app, then go to your thermostat and select History. If Seasonal Savings is running, you will see how many days remain and a Stop button. This will allow you to manually configure the schedule without interference. You may also reach out to your energy service provider to confirm this Seasonal Savings exercise.
Let us know if that helps.
Best,
Zoe
