Hi,
I have 2 Nest 3rd gen thermostats wired to 2 Heatlinks. The thermostats control valves for heating upstairs/downstairs.
These are currently wired to switch the heating system on/off.
I'd like to take advantage of Opentherm and was wondering if it's possible to do this with 2 thermostats?
Thanks

Thanks for reaching out here @ReshamKainth . I would be happy to try and assist.
If you have a zoned system with any number of zones you will have the thermostats connected to the zone valves, to control each zone. In this situation you won't be able to have them operate with the OpenTherm protocol, as it would have to be connected directly to the boiler and in this case you would not have it connected to a zone valve to control a zone.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
I eventually thought as much so decided to have weather compensation installed on the boiler instead. Hopefully this will work as well to modulate the boiler flow temperature.
Thank you again.
