I had some of the Nest Protect devices in my home and it was time to replace them. But Nest is no longer provding those and the pointed me to the First Alert SC5 units which were deigned to replace the Nest Protects.
I also had to replace my Nest Thermostat Gen 2 device to the Gen 4.
One of the First Alert devices had a smoke warning two weeks and it was a false alarm. But my thermostat still display the smoke alarm alert and I have not found any way to cancel the alert on the thermostat. I have done a soft reset and still the alert displays continually.
Is there a way to tell the thermostat to stop displaying this alert?

Hi @BEBaker1,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I understand you're experiencing a persistent smoke alarm alert on your Nest Thermostat, even after the false alarm from your First Alert SC5 unit has passed. I appreciate that you've already taken the right steps to update your devices. I'm glad to help you.
Since your new smoke alarm devices are on the Google Home app, I suggest checking the Nest app to confirm if the old Nest Protect has been removed. Older Nest products that you set up with the Nest app will work seamlessly with your new devices in the Google Home app, and we are continuing to add support for them.
Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions.
Regards,
Gabriela

thank you, Gabriela,
Yes, all of the old Nest Protect detectors have were removed before I installed the new First Alert SC5 detectors in place of them. The old Nest Protect devices were never included in my Google Home app. But all of the new First Alert detectors are. I have all nine devices set up in both the First Alert app as well as Google Home. There doesn’t seem to be any way in either app to reset/clear the smoke detector alert message displayed on the Nest Thermostat. When the message is displayed on the thermostat I can select “OK” and it goes away for a little while but then returns every time.

Hi @BEBaker1,
Thanks for keeping me updated. I understand that the issue with the First Alert SC5 detectors and the Nest Learning Thermostat 4th gen is still unresolved, even after you deleted the old Nest Protects. I'm glad to keep working with you to figure this out.
Let's try the following troubleshooting steps on your Nest Learning Thermostat:
Let me know if you have any other questions.
