Possible DOA for Nest Thermostat

Over the summer I purchased 2 Nest thermostats, in preparation for a renovation project from my local state energy savings website.  Well the project got delayed,  and when the electrician finally went to install the thermostats this weekend, one would not turn on.  Swapped out bases, and batteries between the two and only 1 seems to work.  What are my options, as I am sure the return windows has passed. Is the

Your other thermostat that worked, does it have a c wire? When you say the other one would not turn on, you mean you don't see anything on the display?

Correct, there is absolutely nothing on the screen.  The spot where the thermostat works only has 2 wires (red and white). No c wire, I have a Nest Power connector on order to get it to be fully functional. The non working thermostat was tried there and where the other thermostat is, with the same results (nothing on the screen). The other thermostat, has more wires.

Do you have this thermostat? If you do and there's nothing on the display even if you have the Nest Power Connector. You'll have to contact Google Nest support.Screenshot 2023-01-31 9.29.54 AM.png
