Psychotic Nest

My Nest “smart” thermostat turns up to 75 at night  with the heat on. I set it to 68 when I go to bed and it resets to 75 about 3am? Why is this?

it does the same thing in the summer time. I set it to 78 on AC and the about 3am it changed it to 59! What am I doing wrong!

I'm sorry to hear that your thermostat isn't staying at the temperature that you put it on at night. I'm sure that is frustrating, but I wanted to see how I could help.

You might have had these features enabled, which is why it triggers your thermostat to change the temperatures unexpectedly. Please check out these steps here:

For Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E:

• Turn off the home/away assist.
  • Go to Settings > Home/Away Assist > Turn off.
• Disable the auto-learning schedule and clear temperature schedules.

For Nest Thermostat 2020 model:

• Remove the thermostat action if there is.
• Clear temperature schedule.

Restart your thermostat to sync all the changes made, and please let me know if that helps or if the issue still persists.
