Re: 3rd Gen Thremostat Can't Connect to Wi-fi

This is a forum for the community yes, not the official support channels (Hence my suggestion to contact support directly for RMA issues).  People can come here if they are running into problems that we can help with, but when it comes to faulty hardware that would fall into the google support channel.  Just to be clear, we are not employees of google, we are simply community members who are trying our best to help out with getting devices setup.

As for the wifi chip going bad issue, I agree that this should be covered under warranty, and I understand the sour taste that you are left with, it's really sad to see that being the result for you.I can try to escalate this for you, but I am unsure if anyone from Google can change this. Let me give it a shot.  @Brad  can you help with this?

Hi there, @Ashepherdson ! Thank you for the tie in, I am afraid I do not process RMA Replacements for Thermostats, so this would be better if I send this over to Thermostats to look into an RMA for the customer. Thank you for your time though!

Best Regards,

Brad.
