Re: Not showing temperature in app

I am having the same problem with a one month old fourth generation nest thermostat. Every time I restart the thermostat it connects and acts right for about an hour or two and then the temperature outside stops changing. Eventually, it will go to the two lines with the degree symbol, not picking up anything at all. This all began about a week after I installed it. I know Google is having other troubles with smart lights, etc. Really wish they could find an answer to this. I have been on with Tech Support and the only thing they could come up with was do a factory reset and start all over which I did and it still behaves the same way after about a day or two.

  • Could you tell me the approximate distance between the thermostat and your Wi-Fi router (or nearest access point)?
  • When the outdoor temperature stops changing, can you still control the heating and cooling from the Google Home app?
  • Do you mind sharing a picture of what you see on the thermostat display?
  • Could you provide the case number ID from your previous interaction with our support team?
