Remove Nest from google

Because Google still doesn't allow any other app to start a routine as "away", "home", "22°", I want to unlink the Nest thermostat from google as it was 4 years ago. Then I can use IFTTT again 😉

I hate that I can't control the temperature with gesture or other apps like llamalab automate. Even a simple widget-button needs to simulate a "hey Google".

So how do I return to a Nest thermostat without google?

So I just found out I can reply on this same-like topic.

That article says "Changes are coming " and "In September", but no year! So has it already happen in September 2022 or do I still need to wait til September 2023 before Nest can work again with IFTTT?!

No, I'm starting to hate Google.

I want my Nest thermostat back. The hole speech thing is not what I want. There is no way to control the temperature with things like Wase drive home, 30min. before android wakes me up, phone in docking station, ....

Even a simple widget to set the temperature needs to start a speech simulation that takes time and the phone needs to be activated.

Just release my Nest or give me something any program can activate, mile through IFTTT or a sms or a we link,....

I totally agreed. I am deaf and Google never thought of deaf people who couldn't speak well. I could not say 'Hey google' in first place!!!  That angered me every time! I want to have widget to show the nest temperature so I keep my eye on.
