Good afternoon. I have an existing Nest thermostat controlled from my Android device. I have just added another Nest 3 thermostat unit in a different area of the building. It's been added to my existing android app and works. I do however wish to rename the hot water icon in the app as I have 2 water heater icons that just say Hot Water. How do I rename one to 'annexe' please? No problem with the thermostat that was easy... Water is a struggle

Hi there,
Right now there's no option to rename the hot water in the Nest app. Most homes with a system boiler have only 1 hot water tank. This means that only one thermostat will control the hot water.

Thank you Cristian for taking time to answer. It's no big problem but as it's on a separate tank within the house it would be handy if I could rename it

To not confuse the the hot water, you could create a 2nd home on the Nest app and move your thermostat there.

Brilliant idea Cristian I've done that but is it possible to swap the hot water round into the other room as it's put them in to the wrong 'home'. Many thanks Mark

That is great to hear. The hot water control is associated with the thermostat it is linked with. The hot water control that shows up with it should be the one associated with that thermostat.
