Rush hour TURNS ON my A/C when I had it off...

I try to be eco-conscious and keep my A/C at 80. I signed up for Rush Hour to be sure I was doing my part. Now whenever a Rush Hour is declared my thermostat automatically turns ON the A/C and I start to freeze. Is it possible for someone to re-code the software to say "if customer has thermostat set above 'X' do not lower set point to 'X'."

I think this edge case might have been missed and is using energy we could be saving.

I would hate to have to leave the program because it has me use more energy than I otherwise would.

I'm glad to hear that helping our environment is your priority, and that's what we're trying to commit to. But I do apologize if your Nest Thermostat randomly activates when Rush Hour happens.

I understand that the Rush Hour events should be helping you to use less energy on heating or cooling during that time. If you start to feel uncomfortable, you can stop participating at any time by changing the temperature. If you wish to prevent this from happening, I'd suggest contacting us or your energy company to opt out of the feature.
