Schedule - Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd generation

I have a Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd generation.  I have a schedule set but there are times when I would like to simply disable the schedule and manually adjust the temperature.  Is there a way I can override the schedule and manually set the thermostat without it returning to the schedule? A simple option to turn a schedule on and off would be nice.

Hi AceH,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. There's no option to turn on and off your schedule whenever you want, but you can create or adjust temperature set points to your liking. You can check out this support article with complete information on how to maximize your thermostat schedule feature including creating or adjusting temperature set points.

You can follow the guides below to remove your thermostat schedule:

Nest app:

  1. Tap the day of the week that has the temperature you’d like to remove.
  2. Tap Remove.
  3. Tap the setpoint you want to remove from your schedule.

Nest Learning Thermostat:

  1. Turn the ring to move through the schedule. Highlight the setpoint you want to change by moving until the center line is over it. Press the thermostat.
  2. Select Remove from the options to completely remove the setpoint from your schedule. Press the thermostat to confirm.
  3. Once you’re done editing your schedule, keep turning the ring all the way to the right or the left to select Done and go back to the main menu.

Best,

Jenelyn
