Scheduled temperature not showing in app

Perriwhistle
Community Member

My schedule tells Nest to heat to 17.5 degrees at 19:30.

At 19:30 the heating comes on, but in the app (on a Pixel 7) the set temperature stays at 9 degrees.

This means I can't reduce the temperature if I need to; if I've just lit the fire for example.

The morning schedule still displays properly.

The thermostat is the 1st gen version.

Seems like a weird bug, any ideas / is it a known issue?

Thanks,

P

Hi Perriwhistle,

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue with the temperature display on your Nest thermostat when following your schedule. Try these:

  1. Double-check your Nest Thermostat's schedule settings to ensure the desired temperature and timing are correctly configured, ensuring the temperature is set to 17.5 degrees at 19:30 as intended.
  2. The Nest app may be causing temperature display discrepancies due to a synchronization issue between the app and the thermostat. To resolve this, try refreshing the app or re-signing in and out to ensure proper synchronization.
  3. Restart your Nest Thermostat by removing it from the wall and disconnecting the power for a few minutes. Then, reconnect the thermostat to the power source and reattach it to the wall. This can help reset any temporary software glitches that may be affecting the temperature display.
  4. Ensure that your Nest Thermostat is running the latest firmware version. Firmware updates can address bugs and improve the overall performance of the thermostat. You can check for firmware updates through the Nest app or the thermostat's settings menu.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Zoe
