Set to gas or electric?

Hi All,

I've got a zoned home, with AC and heat.  It is controlled by 1 fancy Nest thermostat (displays outdoor temp) and 2 budget Nest thermostats.

It has always run fine.  But I just noticed that the Equipment settings are different. Although the house has a gas boiler and forced air, the settings on one of the cheap thermostats is correct (Gas & Forced Air) while on the other two, it is set to Electric & Forced Air.

I thought Nest Renew might care whether they were accurate or not, so I set the two wrong ones to Gas & Forced Air too.

But then I never heard the blowers come on, so I switched them all back to what they had been.

SHOULD I WORRY ABOUT THEM BEING SET ACCURATELY? OR LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE?

Thanks

Hi bk88,

Thanks for reaching out. I'd love to know more about this. Could you share a photo of your current thermostat's wiring (ones set to electric and forced air) and HVAC's system control board? What is your HVAC's make and model?

Thanks,
Mel

Thanks Mel.  Here are photos/info for the air handler that I can reach without a ladder.  Let's start with that one.  What do you think?  Do you need me to trace a wire?? sorry about the photo
