I have a milivolt gas stove that I would like to get hooked up to a nest thermostat.
I have been looking through some possible solutions and I see that I can use a relay and a transformer, but it's not clear if I will have to run new wires through the wall. My thermostat is far from my milivolt gas stove, so I don't see anyway I will be able to run a C wire all the way from the heater to the thermostat through the walls.
Is there any sort of solution here where I wouldn't have to rewire the thermostat through the walls?
I have a R and W wire coming out of the wall to the thermostat.

Hi UnbeatenFiddle,
Thanks for reaching out.
The recommended way to connect your system to Nest Thermostat is to have a re-wire. Since you mentioned that the location of the thermostat from the system is too far, thus, running a new wire will be the best way to go.
Let me know if you have any other concern by replying to this thread.
