Read an old thread of people , like myself, having problems when it comes to their heat turning off ...
Recently, I awoke around 5am to discover the heat was off and the indoor temperature had to dropped to 60 while the temperature outside had dropped to 22. This seems to only happen at night.
The solution is to:
1: Disable Eco temp
2: Disable Safety Temperature
3: Disable Home/Away Assist*
*Disabling Home/Away Assist has to be done in 2 places. Within your thermostat settings and within the Nest App.
Go to Nest App > Gear icon at top right > Home/Away Assist > What Decides if You’re Home.
Set it to “No.”
It seems this is turned on by default and the Nest thermostat will turn off the heat if it senses no motion activity (at night you’re sleeping).
