Let's try something, okay?

Double-check that all wires are properly inserted into each terminal. Some look like they are not fully inserted.

Move the orange wire from the W1 terminal to the OB terminal.

Move there red wire from the Rh terminal to the Rc terminal

Do a factory default and set it up again.

WHich Nest thermostat do you have?

How is it wired?

Is this a new install ? Was it working before this?

Post a picture of the original thermostat's wiring if you have it.

Post a picture of the Nest wiring.

Do I need to turn power off first?

Hi domaindefense,

That's a good question. I'm sorry for the delay. For your safety we recommend to turn the breaker off first before touching the wires and before you check your control board.

Thanks,
Jenelyn

Getting the pic....

It was installed in December....just been having all kinds of problems. so 2x now, the power error came on...so we had an electrician over for something else and had him look at the nest. and in like 3 minutes he said it was fixed. He popped the cover off and said the wire labeled c wasnt tight..I was like ok its fixed we can now adjust temp again. So i turned ac on and set to 74 cause it was warm that day we live in tx ..left the house to go to the store and came back and it felt like the heater was on. I checked the AC and it was in heat stage 2 and currently 81 degrees, I got a ladder and felt the air coming out of vent and it was HOT air not warm HOT like the heater was on

I meant it said cooling stage 2....not heat

No I dont have a pic of the origianal wiring.

@domaindefense

No worries.

Do you have access to the furnace/air handler?

If you do, can you post a picture of the terminal block on the control board?

I'm looking to see where the orange wire is terminated
