I have had Nest thermostat for a long time and it always functionned well even at extremes temperatures. My Thermopump and auxiliary furnace were changed recently. My new thermopump is working down to -24 Celsius ( my old one was working down to -15). Unfortunately , the set up to AUX in my Nest allows a minimum -12 Celsius. This means that when it goes below -12 Celsius, the AUX will automatically pop in instead of the thermopump (which is more costly for me). If I choose the option NEVER GO ON AUX in the setting, nothing will work (neither AUX or thermopump if the temperature goes below the thermopump capacity. Is anybody sees a solution ti this? Thank you

Hi Ric979,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. Heat Pump Balance lets you select a level of comfort and savings that you like: more comfort, more savings, or a balance between the two. You can change this option any time in the Nest Sense menu. Visiting this support article might help.
Best,
Jenelyn

I still do not have the answer. The inferior limit to pass from thermopump to AUX NEST thermostat is -12 Celsius. The new thermopumps can work as bellow -20 Celsius. So below -12, my system uses AUX even if my thermopump could do the job done to -20. It cost me more energy, just because the NEST programmation does not allow a threshold below -12. I have the last upgrade on my new Thermostat. Do you understand the problem? Do you have a solution, the best solution should be the correction on the NEST thermostat and a new upgrade version .
