Stopped working with Google Home app

Had the Nest Thermostat connected for over 4 years with no issues but recently the Nest app started to show as offline, so I have had to remove, reset and reinstall everything. The thermostat has connected to the Nest app fine but when I try to add to the Google Home app, I get an error when trying to add via the QR code and when trying to add manually, it allows me to I put the 6 digit code but when it asks for the 4 digits at the end of the serial number there is just a blank area with no input fields to enter the 4 digits so I can't get any further with the set up process.

@Helenmarie123

When you install the Nest Learning Thermostat in the Google Nest app, it should AUTOMATICALLY appear in the Google Home app, as long as you are using the same Google Account to log into both apps and are accessing the same Google Nest "home/structure" in both, and have assigned your thermostat to a "room" in the Google Nest app

In the last few months, quite a few customers in this forum have reported this is not happening. What many customers have done to fix the problem is this:  In the Google Nest app, create a temporary second Google Nest "home/structure". Then, in the Google Home app go to that temporary empty Google Nest "home/structure" and delete it. It seems this forces the 2 apps to sync and the thermostat then appears in the Google Home app.

Hi, I managed to get it connected after removing it completely and readding it again and so far it's been ok and has stayed connected.

Thank you for your help.
