I installed a Nest thermostat, installed Home app and Nest App and Home on my Android phone. After I scan QR code it just says connecting and eventually it says "Something went wrong You may need to do a factory rests this device before you can set it up again." There's no instructions on how to reset it other than doing it in the app, but you can't do that because the app isn't recognizing the Nest. SOOOOO FRUSTRATING THAT i CANNOT FIND OUT WHAT TO DO!!!

Please delete this post. After I posted it, I found out I could call support. After over 2 hours trying many options, it was determined that it's my Samsung Z-fold that's a problem.
The Google support people were great and very patient.
This is the 2nd problem i hahe had trying to connect my phone to devices. The first was a 6-month old Fitbit Charge 5. I was told that the latest Samsung software release is the cause of the problem and they don't know when it will be fixed.
