Usually the wall is cooler then the rest of the home, just set it accordingly.

Hi @Nick79,

Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I understand how inconvenient it is that your Nest thermostat is reading 62 degrees when it's actually 68 or 69 degrees in your home, even after you tried resetting it. I'd be happy to help with this!

To better investigate the inconvenience, I'd like to ask the following:

  • What is the model of your thermostat? Here’s a helpful article about how to identify your thermostat model.
  • When was the thermostat installed?
  • Where is the thermostat installed (room and wall or stand)?
  • Do you have other active Nest thermostats? If so, are they experiencing the same inconvenience?
  • What type of HVAC system do you have?
  • Have you made any recent adjustments to your HVAC system?

In the meantime, I'd suggest the following:

  • Ensure the thermostat is properly connected to the WiFi network.
  • If possible, place a thermometer next to your Nest thermostat and take a picture of the temperature displayed.

I also appreciate your input, @DDS90

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
