Temp settings set back

I have my learning thermostat to come on at 6:30 to 68 degrees.  I do not have any Eco setting or setting to come on early to warm up to 68 at 6:30, so no special learning setting either.  It comes on exactly at 6:30 warms to 68 perfectly, then sets back one degree to 67 and stays there.  Why the setback?

Hello folks,

Thank you for sharing your experience with your Nest Thermostat on our platform. Your detailed description of the thermostat's behavior is helpful for both us and the community.

Setbacks in temperature could be due to various factors, such as energy-saving features or default settings. As for the one-degree setback to 67 after reaching the target temperature, it's a usual default behavior to optimize energy efficiency. Some thermostats have built-in setback settings to help conserve energy once the desired temperature is reached and turn the system back on if the thermostat senses at least 2-3 degree temperature differences.

If you have further questions or if there's anything specific you'd like to explore regarding this setback, let me know.

Regards,
Mark
