Thermostat Compatibility

Hi,

I am having an issue identifying if I can replace my old White Rodgers thermostat with a Nest thermostat.

I don't believe I have a high (line) voltage thermostat because the wires are not as thick. Only two wires go into the thermostat, W and Rh. I realized these wires were hooked to my Dunkirk gas boiler directly. Can anyone help me?

Thank you

Hey there,

I wanted to follow up and see if I could be of any help. Do you have an older gas furnace built into the wall or the floor? Do you happen to know if you have a millivolt heating system? Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.

Best regards,
Jake

Hi Thank you for replying. My furnace is on the floor in the basement. I really can't tell if I have a millivolt system or not. I have attached the picture of my boiler. The white cable in the pic is coming from my thermostat.
