Thermostat Keeps Going Into Eco Mode

Jtcweb

I recently got the Google Nest Thermostat and it keeps going into eco mode.  There are people in the house, but not near the thermostat.  We almost always have someone at home so I don't want eco mode at all.  I use the Google Home app.

All the articles I find online tell me how to turn on eco mode, I cannot find anything that tells me how to turn it off.

The Google Nest Thermostat (mirrored) doesn't have "ECO" mode. It has what is called Eco preset so you can't "turn" it off.

Here is a help page explaining what the Eco Preset is and how to use it.

Hello folks,

Thanks for the help, @Patrick_Caezza.

@Jtcweb, it appears that you have the latest Nest Thermostat model we have. With this, turning off the Eco mode would mean removing or clearing the Home and Away Routines. Please have a look at this article on how to remove an action in the Google Home app:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Select the Routines.
  3. Under household routines, select home or away.
  4. Look and select your thermostat, then remove it.
  5. After making the changes that you want, tap Save, then Save again.

Please let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Mark

Hello everyone,

@Jtcweb I'm dropping by to ensure that everything is covered here. How's it going with your Nest Thermostat? Were you able to read the information and check the link that Mark has shared? Also, were you able to perform the steps he's suggesting? We'd be glad to hear from you.

I appreciate the help, Mark and Patrick_Caezza.

Emerson
