Thermostat has a mind of its own~!

I did NOT enroll in the automatic feature that lets the city override your choice of temps to save money during peak hours. I mostly keep my thermostat on 75 (lots of concrete around my apartment).  But it moves up to 76, 77 on its own. I'm in Austin, Texas and it's  broiling here for most of the year. Why does it keep raising the temp without my doing it? I pay a fortune as it is, so I should be able to choose my own temps and let it stay there. It moves around all the time!  Thanks.

Hi Peechy,

Thanks for posting in the community! Sorry to hear that your Nest Thermostat is changing  the temperature without your request. No worries, help is here! I'd like to ask you a few question to gather more information about this:

  1. What Nest Thermostat model do you have?
  2. Do you have a Temperature Schedule?
  3. Is the Auto-Learning turn on in your Nest Thermostat?
  4. Have you tried performing a Factory Reset?

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Axel.
