Hi Selkuka,

Thanks for reaching out — I'd love to help.

A blinking red light at the top of your Nest Learning Thermostat display means that the battery charge is very low but it’s being charged. Wait until the battery is charged before you use it to control your heating or cooling. Using a Micro-USB cable to charge your thermostat can help.

You can check this guide

  1. Pull out your thermostat display from its base.
  2. Check the little port at the back of it.
  3. Connect the Micro-USB on that port and charge it for an hour.
  4. After an hour, put the display back to its base.

Please let me know how it goes.

Best,

Jenelyn
