Intermittent E74 error messages

After 5+ years of working perfectly, my Nest Thermostat started intermittently showing an E74 (No power from Rh wire) error message. Accordingly the AC goes on and off likewise. Any guesses as to which is the problem- the thermostat or the AC???

Wiring Issue no cooling feature

Says system is compatible but it doesn’t give us a cooling option! Help it is 106 degrees in our house. From what I am seeing it looks like we need a yellow wire? We don’t have that so now what?

No power wires detected Rh or Rc wires required.

Nest says wires are not powered e72voltmeter has 29 volts on the red wire.I have only one red. Put it in Rh and Rc but still not detection. comnected hp t6 pro and it works. thoughts

Resolved! Wiring compatibility

Will the standard Nest thermostat work with the addition of a C wire to the 2 wire system I have now. One of the 2 wires comes from a 24 VAC transformer and the other wire routes to the natural gas solenoid that turns the gas on.
