• Does anyone know if I can replace a Proliaq T701 thermostat with a Nest Leatning 3rd generation? The wiring choices appear to show incompatibility. 
  id like confirmation before returning the Nest. Thank you.

I just took a look at an installation manual for the T701 (https://thermostat.guide/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Pro1-T701-Non-Programable-Thermosts-Installation...) and I don't see why the Nest Learning Thermostat wouldn't be compatible.

Did you try using the Nest compatibility checker? https://nest.com/widget/thermostat-compatibility/. This could help you in determining compatibility with your current system.

Thank you. Based on your response I was able to revisit the installation instructions and realized I had taken the wire letters too literally. W/W1 connects with W. I was literally looking for W/W1.
