Thermostat not taking settings from app

After reading several posts, I got nowhere and have concluded by turning every feature (auto-sched, eco, etc), OFF by using ONLY the Nest APP, the thermo at the wall does NOT have all options OFF. 

Since I have had ZERO problems for years, this must be a GOOGLE issue. I changed NOTHING, and the behavior of the thermostat has changed SIGNIFICANTLY. Multiple features do not work including hitting a simple target heat, or turning the unit OFF.

My only recourse is to file Zingers on multiple sites, (Yelp), notify others, and go with a competitor. 

NOONE but google could have done so much damage in such little time. Who the **** am I to say? I've been testing software in Silicon Valley for decades.

  • What model of thermostat are you using?

  • When did the trouble start? 

  • What steps have you taken to disable the different features? 

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.
