I’m sorry to hear that your thermostat cannot control your Nest properly, so you are unable to set heating on with Nest.  But no worries, help is here.

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

  • Could you please let me know the model of your Nest thermostat?
  • When did the issue start?
  • Are you getting any error messages on the app or in the Nest thermostat? If so, could you please let me know what it says?
  • Is the display seated? (Is it properly clicked into the base?)
  • Are all the wires firmly seated into the terminals? (No loose, or exposed wires)
  • Does the thermostat charge with a USB cable?
  • Could you please post me a picture of the wires?
