Thermostats showing heat demand but not resulting in heat

I had an issue with my upstairs thermostat connecting to the heat link, Google went in remotely and did something which seems to have resolved the issue BUT created a much bigger problem. Now both my upstairs and downstairs thermostats show the fact that they are aware there is a heat demand to 21 and show current heat at 15 but despite saying that they are heating, there is no heat produced throughout the house. Both my thermostats are linked to the same heat link. I'm cold and can't get heating to kick in!

Hello @Beckysw!

Thanks for posting in the community. I'm really sorry to hear about the issue you are having with your Nest thermostat when heating.

I understand that the issue seems that a recent remote troubleshooting attempt has inadvertently disrupted your home's heating system. While the thermostats are indicating a heat demand and attempting to adjust the temperature, the actual heating function isn't activating.

Before we proceed with troubleshooting, I'd like to gather some additional information. Please let me know:

  • What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
  • When did the issue start?
  • What other strange symptoms have you experienced since the problem started?
  • Are there any error messages? If so, what are they exactly?
  • Is this a new installation?

Once I have this information, we can work together to resolve the issue and get your thermostat working as expected.

Warm regards,

Catheryn.
