Two wire in the Y when installing nest

My old AC thermal stat has two wire in the Y,  What should I do?

Yes, I am stilling needing help. There are two wires in the Y in my Honeywell thermostats. Not sure if I can put two wire in the Y on the nest.

Hey YD,

 

Glad to be of help, and sorry to hear you are still having trouble. You will only want 1 wire in the Y spot on the Nest Thermostat. Do you mind me asking if you have access to your HVAC system’s control board? This usually provides more details on what the wire is in control of. You can follow the article here, and it should help you identify both wires. You can also have a Nest Pro come out and take a closer look. They would be able to install the device and ensure it is working properly. Please let me know if the article helped, or if you are still having trouble finding out the wire label.
