The thermostat works fine and it is connected to the 2.5ghz WiFi without issue. I’ve checked all of the google troubleshooting items but I am still unable to get the thermostat to provide an entry key. The system says “there was a problem connecting to the service”

Could you tell us which Nest Thermostat you're using? Are you getting the error message using the Nest app or Google Home app?

It's a Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen. The error appears on the thermostat itself when trying to obtain an entry key
