Vented cylinder turning on in night

Mason2

Hi! We brought a house over a year ago with the nest already installed. We have a gravity fed heating system and a water cylinder in our bedroom cupboard🫣 the nest system itself seems to be working fine and is great most the time, however it seems to be turning on our cylinder at night even though the water is set to “off” on the app. I understand these tanks need to heat up but is there anyway of getting it heat up on the day rather than night to save cooking us as we sleep😅

any advice would be great. Thanks!

Hi, @Mason2,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I apologize for the unexpected hot water activation. I'm happy to help you find a solution.

To better help you, please provide the following information:

  • What is the status of the Heat Link's LED light?
  • When did the issue start?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Disable Eco mode:
    • Press your thermostat ring to open the Quick View menu.
    • Select Settings > Eco.
    • Select the temperature you want. If your thermostat controls heating, you'll see 'Heat to'. If it controls cooling, you'll also see 'Cool to'.
    • Press the thermostat ring to select the temperature you want to change. Turn the ring to adjust until you see off.
  • Disable Auto-schedule:
    • On the thermostat, go to Settings > Nest Sense > Auto-Schedule > Off.
  • Disable the hot water schedule.
  • Disable the Bacteria Prevention feature.
  • Disable true radiant.

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Ana
