Vin is not showing the correct voltage

Vin on the Nest (Snow) is showing ~37 V. Pulled off the thermostat and checked the wires, and they appear to be ~26.5 V

Is there an explanation for the mismatch?

Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest thermostat is having a mismatch between VIN and the current voltage on the backplate when you checked the wires, but no need to worry; help is here.

When you are reading VIN in your Nest thermostat, you will see numbers between 29 and 42 V when your HVAC is running.

Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.

Best regards,

Gabriela
