My nest thermostat seemingly decided to randomly turn off my furnace tonight, in the middle of canadian winter, for no apparent reason.
Looking at the history clearly shows this was done by auto schedule:
except here’s the thing: my wife and I have a newborn at home so I turned all the auto settings off in November to constantly keep the home at a comfortable setting for our baby. Here are my settings:
We woke in the middle of the night freezing, which immediattely worried us for our little one who’s hands and ears were frigid.
Is this a software glitch? Has my unit gone deffecitve? Has anyone else experienced this? So far this has been a one off but playing some kind of furnace roulette in the middle of winter isn’t really something I want to have to worry about.

Same thing happened to me last night. It was -16 last night. Now I don't trust the nest thermostat it's happened twice now in the last month or so

Odd, well at least I know I’m not alone… must be a bug. If it starts happening often I’m gonna be really disapointed, really like the nest.
