Why does the hot water heating up cause the house to heat up as well?

Hiya,

Can anyone help me? I've got a learning thermostat and every time the hot water goes on it causes my house to heat up more than the temperature is set to on the thermostat. (E.g. my heating is set for 18 and when the water is being heated up the radiators come on and heat the house upto to over 20.5)

Can I stop this? Is there anything I can do to fix it?
