This makes no sense to me. I keep mine set at 70-degrees. Every time I walk by it shows me 70-degrees. I have that number memorized - I never need to see it. Every other thermostat I have ever used shows the CURRENT TEMPERATURE in big, easy-to-read sizes, with the target temperature smaller but visible. The primary piece of information should be the one that provides useful information to the user - not a constant value. Does Google have any UX people on staff??
