I'm UK-based and we have 3 nest thermostats spread across 2 sites that we've had for between 5 and 10 years.
I've noticed over the last couple of years that updates to schedules and even turning systems on/off or adjusting the current set point have become really unreliable through the iOS app. It's an extremely frustrating pattern where you'll change something in the app, it'll show as changed, but the change won't actually take effect on the device, and if you kill and restart the app, it'll show the previous state.
I've tried re-installing the app having fully deleted it first, I've made sure I'm on the latest version of the app, and I've migrated to Google home login, etc, in order to try and resolve this, but the problems persist.
I've even tried using https://home.nest.com/ to edit stuff, and while that does seem more reliable, I've still had instances of changes showing has succeeding in the browser, and then not showing up on the device.
Nothing beats configuring heating and hot water for an out building to then have your guests rock up to find no heating or hot water thanks to the changes you made through the website or app having been ignored 😕
Anyone else experiencing this?
